US President Donald Trump is offering Ukraine a security guarantee for a period of 15 years with the possibility of extension, while Ukraine is giving a guarantee for a period of 30-50 years.
Elchi.az reports that Volodimir Zelensky told journalists about this.
“In fact, this proposed agreement is not permanent. The document is intended for a period of 15 years with the possibility of extension. I raised this issue with the President. I told him that the conflict has been going on for almost 15 years. Therefore, I would very much like the guarantees to be longer-term.
I told him that we would like to consider the possibility of a guarantee for 30, 40 or 50 years. The President said he would think about it,” Zelensky said.
