Ukrainian leader Zelensky met with US President Trump to discuss the Ukrainian peace plan. In a statement after the meeting, Trump said: “We talked to Zelensky about everything, we agreed 90 percent. There is great potential.” He added that he “spoke to Putin on the phone for 2.5 hours” and “I saw a very different Putin today. He wants the war to end.”
Elchi.az reports that US President Trump and Ukrainian President Zelensky met at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate for peace talks.
Trump pointed to a trilateral meeting
In a statement to the press after his meeting with Zelensky, US President Donald Trump said:
“If going to Ukraine will help end the war, I see no problem with that. 91% of Ukrainians want this war to end. Russia wants it to end. Everyone wants it to end.
Russia wants Ukraine to succeed. It sounds a little strange, but Putin is very generous.
I saw a very interesting Putin today, he wants peace to happen. He told me this very strongly. I believe him.
A trilateral meeting may take place at the right time.”
“90% agreement reached”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that “90% agreement has been reached on the 20-point peace plan. The US and Ukraine have reached 100% agreement on security guarantees.”
