Optional subjects or topics related to the teaching of gender equality may be included in the educational programs of relevant specialties at the bachelor’s and master’s levels of higher education.
Elchi.az reports that this is stated in the “National Action Plan for Gender (Men and Women) Equality in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026-2028”.
According to the action plan, the main executive body is the Ministry of Science and Education.
The executive body has been instructed to prepare curricula and textbooks related to optional subjects included in the educational programs related to the teaching of gender equality, and to regularly monitor and evaluate the teaching of optional subjects related to the teaching of gender equality in educational programs.
