A successful surgical operation was performed on a 90-year-old female patient at Yeni Klinika who was admitted with a diagnosis of a displaced femoral fracture at the level of the trochanters in the left hip region.
Elchi.az reports that Yeni Klinika released this information.
It was reported that a closed reduction and internal fixation with a proximal femoral nail antirotation (PFNA) implant was performed by traumatologist Tural Behbudsoy, with the participation of anesthesiologist-reanimatologist Lale Aliyeva and her team, within the framework of the Service Package.
Although the patient’s age and existing comorbidities caused the operation to carry a high risk, the surgical intervention was successfully carried out by a professional medical team.
In the postoperative period, the patient’s condition was assessed as stable, and she was activated one day after the operation and started the early rehabilitation phase.
