Cristiano Ronaldo: I will not leave football until I score 1000 goals

Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays for Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr club, has stated that he will not end his career until he reaches 1000 goals.
Elchi.az reports that Ronaldo, 40, speaking at an award ceremony in Dubai, said, “You know what my goal is. I want to win trophies and reach the 1000 goals that you all know. If I don’t get injured, I will definitely reach this number.”
Ronaldo, who said that his motivation to continue playing football is high, said: “It doesn’t matter whether I play in the Middle East or in Europe, I always love playing football and I want to continue.”
Ronaldo, who moved to Al-Nassr in 2022, scored two goals in the 3-0 victory against Al Akhdoud on Saturday, bringing his total goal tally to 956. Ronaldo, who has scored 493 goals since the age of 30, also repeated the record set 64 years ago by former English footballer Ronnie Rooke while playing for Arsenal, Fulham and Crystal Palace.
