As a result of the joint operation of the National Intelligence Organization of Turkey (MIT) and the police, İbrahim Burtakuçin, a member of the ISIS terrorist organization, who was determined to be preparing a terrorist act on New Year’s Eve, was detained in Malatya.

Within the framework of the intelligence work carried out by MIT, it was determined that İbrahim Burtakuçin was preparing for a terrorist attack in Turkey. It was revealed that he was in contact with numerous ISIS members at home and abroad.
During the searches carried out at the suspect’s residence, a large number of digital materials and prohibited publications were found.
As a result of the examination of the seized digital materials, ISIS-related software, audio files used by the network for motivational purposes and encouraging joining the organization, images of ISIS members and leaders, as well as content related to joint meetings were identified.
İbrahim Burtakuçin was brought to court and arrested.
