The Chinese Foreign Ministry has announced sanctions against 20 US defense companies in connection with arms sales to Taiwan.
Elchi.az reports that the RIA Novosti agency reported this with reference to the official statement of the department.
According to the published information, the restrictions will come into force on December 26 and will apply to both the organizations themselves and their ten leaders.
The Chinese Ministry noted that among the companies sanctioned are Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, L3Harris Maritime Services, Boeing and St. Louis, Gibbs & Cox, Advanced Acoustic Concepts, VSE Corporation, Sierra Technical Services, Red Cat Holdings, Teal Drones, ReconCraft, High Point Aerotechnologies, Epirus, Dedrone Holdings, Area-I, Blue Force Technologies, Dive Technologies, Vantor, Intelligent Epitaxy Technology, Rhombus Power Inc. and Lazarus Enterprises. The statement emphasizes that the sanctions were imposed in response to the recent large-scale shipment of American weapons to Taiwan, which Beijing considers a Chinese region. The ministry said that these actions are a serious violation of the one-China principle and the three China-US communiques, constitute gross interference in China’s internal affairs, and seriously damage the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
