The Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) has appealed to the population in connection with the current weather conditions.

It was noted that cold and frosty weather conditions are currently observed in the country, especially in mountainous regions.
Thus, citizens living especially in mountainous areas, as well as those traveling to the mountains, are advised not to leave their place of residence as much as possible in frosty weather, and to inform their relatives in advance about the direction of travel if such a necessity arises. When traveling by car, the technical characteristics of the car must be appropriate for the season and sufficient fuel reserves must be ensured. It is recommended to stay away from places with potential avalanches, including steep slopes, and return to the place of residence before dark.
At the same time, since cold weather conditions cause a significant increase in the use of heating appliances, fire safety rules must be strictly observed when using these devices. Defective, non-standard or makeshift heating devices should not be used, the electrical network should not be overloaded, and working heating devices should not be left unattended.
